Review of 'The Landlady' Short Story

Bored at home? Do you not know what to do the next morning you wake up from bed? Here is my suggestion. You can try out this new hobby which is reading a story whether from a novel, an online book, or even a short story! In the meantime, this eye-catching short story caught my attention. The title of the short story is 'The Landlady' written by great author Roald Dahl.

At first, it seemed like an enjoyable fast-paced story as the protagonist, Billy Weaver tried to find lodging for his new job in town. However, he made the wrong choice. You may find it quite easily the landlady was suspicious from the moment she seemed so nice toward him. Besides, the writer is so creative as he ended the story with an open ending to fulfill the readers imagination on their own.

In my view, the story can end with the lead character, Billy Weaver would not getting out of that house and be her next victim. The landlady has an eye for a victim as in the story a young and handsome man like Billy. Hence, she would again take a soul away and maybe make him stuffed like her previous victim. Of course, I would recommend my peers to read this wonderful story as it is enjoyable! The story is short but gives the reader goosebumps and feeling of what is going to happen in the next plot while you reading it.

I am quite familiar with writing a review but I am more into reading a review than writing it. Both ways have a lot in common and have their own benefits. Writing a review would be a good path for people to express their feelings in sentences especially in book review. Moreover, writing a review can influence other people to read the story as you made a little summary of it.
