Are You Familiar or Not Familiar with Writing Book Review?

Writing a review is a beneficial thing to do in your spare time or anytime. It gives advantages to both of the writer and the reader, whether the writers want to share their experience in the review or the reader wants to decide a suitable item while shopping. A review has several types including book review, movie review, restaurant review or can be simplified as anything that must be purchased. In this writing, I will talk about a book review. Before I continue, do you want to know the purpose of people writing a review?

WHY DO PEOPLE WRITE A BOOK REVIEW ?

People tend to write a book review to express their feelings by writing, whether it is a positive or negative. If readers read a particular book and decide it as less worth reading, they may warn others to avoid making the same mistake like they did by writing a review.

     On the other hand, if the readers enjoy reading the book, they will recommend it to others and convince them that this book is worthwhile.  After all, everyone's tastes in book genres differ, so a book that offends you may be a great option for someone else.

    Not only that, but review can also be used to expose the author’s writing skills to the world. For instance, a person reads a great book written by a less popular author. Therefore, the person chooses to write a review about the incredible style writing of the author in order to promote the author’s book to others. As information nowadays can be easily shared through social media or any other online platform, the author has the opportunity to introduce his or her craft to others, particularly book lovers.

    Finally, by writing a book review, the reader can provide useful feedback about the book to authors, allowing them to improve their writing skills in the future. This action can help the authors to continue to grow as a book’s writer. Authors can identify areas where they want to focus or lack of to enhance their writing in next book project.

    Based on the title “Are You Familiar or Not Familiar with Writing Book Review”, my answer is yes. I am quite familiar with writing a review but, I prefer to read it rather than write it. Both ways have a lot in common and have their own benefits. Writing a review would be a good path for people to express their feelings in sentences especially in book review. Moreover, writing a review can influence other people to read the story as you made a little summary of it.

    Reading a review can slightly help the people to choose a book based on their interest before purchasing it. Hence, the reader will be more enthusiastic while reading their purchased book and become his or her favourite book in a while.
